Who am I?
I am a violinist from Kansas City, Missouri, and a graduate of Lincoln College Preparatory Academy. In Fall 2025, I will begin my studies in Music Education at the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory, where I will continue my journey in artistry. I have served as Concertmaster for Harmony Project KC and Lincoln Prep’s orchestra for multiple years and am a student of Reilly Mitchell and Can Balcik. I have performed with the All-District Orchestra and earned numerous Gold Ratings at the Solo and Ensemble Festival. I have also had the opportunity to perform with and learn from many renowned musicians, such as Yo-Yo Ma, Jordan Bak, and the band Making Movies. As I am passionate about teaching and mentorship, I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Music Education and become a high school orchestra director. I wants to inspire future generations as I was inspired by my teachers and mentors.
My Teaching Style.
I believe that progress comes from building upon foundational skills needed to play violin. However, I also believe that lessons should not feel like a chore, but something that should be fun. Learning to play the violin, especially just starting off, can be very frustrating, that’s why I approach lessons with patience in mind.
